Individual Therapy

What is Individual Therapy?

Talk Therapy

Talk therapy is centered on personal growth, offering a supportive and confidential space for clients to explore their thoughts, feelings, and experiences. Through talk therapy, a licensed therapist helps clients increase self-awareness, develop coping strategies, and work toward their personal goals. Sessions are available both in-person and virtually for clients residing in the state of Texas.

EMDR Therapy

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is an evidence-based therapy designed to help individuals heal from trauma and distressing life experiences. EMDR focuses on how memories are stored in the brain and aims to reduce the emotional impact of painful memories. During sessions, clients are guided through sets of eye movements or other forms of rhythmic, bilateral stimulation while recalling difficult experiences. This process helps the brain reprocess the memories in a way that promotes emotional healing and resolution. EMDR is particularly effective for treating PTSD, anxiety, depression, and other trauma-related concerns.

Adjunctive Therapy

Adjunctive therapy refers to therapeutic services that are offered alongside a client’s primary treatment to provide additional support and enhance overall progress. It is not a replacement for primary therapy, but a complement that can address specific needs, strengthen coping skills, and promote deeper healing. Adjunctive therapies can include approaches like EMDR, Sex Therapy, mindfulness practices, or group work, and are tailored to support a client’s individual goals. These services are especially helpful when clients are seeking extra tools or targeted interventions alongside their ongoing therapy work.
